The Contour ROAM 2 is the ideal camera for a fun and easy experience capturing your adventures anywhere life takes you. It is the successor of the popular Contour 1080p camera and now features a waterproof rating to 1 meter. This model now features Contours new one-step recording. Just slide the record switch forward and the camera will power up and immediately start recording. The Roam not only shoots video but also takes 5MP still photos as well making this a truly versatile camera. They are designed to be tough, compact, extremely versatile and are compatible with all of the current Contour mounts.

The Contour Roam 2 is waterproof to a depth of 1 meter to let you further explore the range of different environments that these tiny cameras can be mounted in. low, heavy rain and light submersion's are now no longer an obstacle. For full submersion sports such as diving and surfing, it is recommended that you get the Roam waterproof casing which is rated to 60 meters.

The Contour Roam 2 features not only amazing Full HD video but it also has the ability to capture 5MP still images.

The camera has selectable video resolutions and frame rates as listed below.
Full HD - 1920 x 1080 @ 30/25fps
Tall HD - 1280 x 960 @ 30/25fps
Action HD - 1280 x 720 @ 30/25fps

The camera outputs the video files with a H.264/ACC Codec and .MOV file type which is easy to edit on many good editing software suites. Contour provides Storyteller for free download on their website that allows you to perform basic editing.

In Photo mode you can pre-select to take one photo ever 1,3,5,10,30 or even 60 seconds. You can link these photos together for a time lapse effect or just pick out the shots that you like an add the to your photo library.
